What is Petrykivka?

Petrykivka painting is a unique Ukrainian ornamental folk art, which was formed in the 18th century in central Ukraine in a village with the same name – Petrykivka. This painting technique is the brightest example of unique Slavic art culture, which has been creating for many centuries an emotional reflection of the communication of humans and nature.
